AIRE

About

The company

AIRE was founded in Seoul in 2019.

We plan international art exhibitions and coordinate them between the people who hold the rights and the people who present the work. Since 2020 there has been an AIRE exhibition in Korea every year.

The company also develops cultural programmes of its own, built so they can be licensed and run elsewhere.

How we work

  1. 01

    Rights first

Loan terms, licensing, reproduction and approvals are settled in writing with the people who actually hold them, before anything moves.

  2. 02

    No layer in between

We negotiate in Korean, English and Spanish. Institutions deal with the people doing the work, not with a translation of them.

  3. 03

    Through to the return

Condition reports, installation, de-installation and the reporting a lender expects afterwards are part of the job.

Who we work with

Museums and public art centres. Artist foundations and estates. Private collections. Exhibition producers and touring organisers. Venues, brands and corporate clients.

Founder

Seonyong Eom founded AIRE in 2019.

She has worked on exhibitions, spatial design and brand experience for over thirteen years: at an art centre in Incheon, in communications agencies, and at Cartier in Seoul. Her exhibition work runs from sourcing and licensing with European museums and foundations to the design of how an audience moves through a show. She studied in Barcelona and works in Korean, English and Spanish.

In 2017 the King of Spain awarded her the Cross of the Order of Civil Merit for her part in Korean–Spanish cultural exchange.
